As we find ourselves praying over Kenya for next year, I came across these pictures from last summer. The 5th and 6th graders at Faith Presbyterian worked throughout the summer to raise funds for St. Edwin's orphanage in Kenya. They raised $1800! I have to admit, I was surprised at that amount, but not really when you think of what God can do with those who will trust in Him as these kids did last summer. They worked long and hard for many hours in the intense heat of SC, but, as you can see, they had some fun too.
Please, if you think of Kenya, say a quick prayer for St. Edwin's and for guidance as we try to decide about the mission trip in the spring and how to raise funds for St. Edwin's in the future. Here is a link for St. Edwin's:
